Just about everyone has heard of CBD by now, even if you don’t know exactly what it is. And chances are, the people around you have tried them whether they’ll admit to it or not. So let’s take a look at one of the most popular ways to get your daily dose of happiness – gummies.
They’re super convenient (just keep them in your purse) and easy to make/eat on the go, plus CBD Oil wasn’t meant only for hardcore stoners who want to get high, but for “regular people” like you and me.
CBD is short for Cannabidiol, which is one of the active cannabinoids present in the hemp plant. It contains less than 0,2% THC which means it doesn’t produce psychoactive effects. The CBD gummies for anxiety will attach itself to receptors throughout your body responsible for regulating pain, appetite, mood/ease of depression, stress levels, etc. And that’s just to name a few – honestly, there are too many benefits to list them all here! It’s easy to understand why everyone wants some nowadays.
Cannabis-infused coconut oil (1 cup) Gelatin sheets (24-30) Stevia drops or another sweetener of choice Honey or agave nectar (optional) Mint extract/oil Mixing Bowl Measuring Cups Zipper Bag/Sealable Container Toothpicks (to pick up gummies)
- Grind the cannabis down to a fine consistency – if you use ground flowers it’s best to double-decarboxylate them by cooking for 30 min at 210°C/ 410°F oven. You can use a ground hash instead which doesn’t need to be decarboxylated, but don’t grind it too finely since kief needs some texture in order to hold together well enough.
- Place your cannabis into 1 cup of coconut oil and heat on low until all the herb is covered with oil. Keep heating until all water evaporates from the surface, this means that THC has bonded with fat molecules + alcohols = psychoactive metabolite
- Pour a thin layer of oil into your jar and place it in the fridge for half an hour – this will prevent bubbles from forming under the CBD gummies.
- Once it’s cool enough, pour the entire mix into a mixing bowl with gelatin sheets spread evenly on the bottom.
